STATICS IN-LINE MIXER Unities with fixed elements of the class PMS-1 are particularly suitable for the merging of two-component synthetic resin systems. These mixers are made of rustproof steel and consist of alternately left- and right-handed turning elements which are fastened in the pipe-shaped body throughout its entire length by a special soldering method.
The gradation of the nominal width with identical operating data and constant pressure loss occurred under the aspects of an approximate throughput doubling (exception NW 11). In case of considerable differences concerning the viscosity and/or high mixing ratio it is necessary to induct the secondary component located at the center of the conduit/ hydraulic line close to the first mixing component in order to achieve optimum mixing results. To avoid a narrowing of the inside diameter of the pipe and a pinching of the elements, the screw connections may be drawn only moderately.
In case that all the entire group of components should be removed in order to be subjected to cleaning it might be necessary to put the mixer into a solvent dip after the pre-cleaning. All components should be then carefully removed with an arbor form the body. We disadvise to pull the elements out or to knock them out with hard hits.
